Albert Elmore Atkinson, Jr. passed away August 1, 2017. He was 92.

He was born February 22, 1925 in Newton, AL where he attended Newton High School Class of 1943. He was married to Barbara Earp Atkinson for 65 years. Albert served in the infantry division of the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked for Southwestern Public Utility Service Company for over 35 years. They moved to Arizona in 1999. Albert volunteered at Del Norte Elementary School in Roswell, NM and at Finley Farms in Gilbert, AZ. He and Barbara were active members of First United Methhodist Church in Meza, AZ
