Rev. Garner Wood of Ashford, AL passed away October 21, 2016. He was 74.
Rev. Wood was born in Daleville, AL and reared in Newton, AL. He attended
Newton High School and Southwest Bible College and Seminary where he received
a BA degree in Theology. He was currently serving as pastor of the Old
Webb Road Baptist Church. He formerly served as Pastor of Gordon Baptist
Church and Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. In earlier years, Rev. Wood was employed
by Paige Aircraft at Ft. Rucker and also worked as a life insurance agent.
