William Gwen Glover passed away March 6, 2017. He was 83
Mr. Glover was born March 25, 1933 in Pinckard, AL. He graduated from Slocomb
High School. He was a peanut farmer for many years and retired after 39
years as a technical aircraft inspector for the aviation industry. During
that time he worked at Dyn-Corp, Northrup, Hayes Aircraft and Sikorsky
Aircraft. After his retirement he worked for PEMCO at the Dothan Airport.
Mr. Glover loved his family and his longtime church, Bethel Baptist, where
he was a Deacon, his work and farming. He loved music and played a variety
of instruments. The upright Bass and Steel Guitar was his primary instruments.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 8 years. He was a 'people person' and
never met a stranger.
